The Designer

Following a position as a Graphic Designer at Swarovski in 2004, Astrid’s enthusiasm for travel compelled her to enrich her illustration training at schools around the world. Bags packed, she left her home in Switzerland to study design from masters in Zurich, London, Hamburg, and at New York City’s Parsons.

In 2006, Astrid launched her first design firm, Atelier Giselle. After working with clients including Diesel, Marie Claire, and Swarovski, the designer’s feminine, elegant work was noticed by leading wedding publications The Knot (New York) and You and Your Wedding (London). That recognition, along with a wedding illustration request of a friend, inspired the romantic-at-heart designer to launch her second design company, Astrid Mueller LLC, U.S.A., specializing in illustrations for brides.

Ever a perfectionist, before creating the visual identity for Astrid Mueller, LLC, Astrid dove into branding. Using the knowledge she gained, Astrid carefully defined her company’s core characteristics, ideal audience and what made it unique. Soon after launching, Astrid was wowed by the impact of her planning. Not only was she attracting the brides for whom she had been hoping to design, she received several inquiries from wedding professionals for illustrations and brand identity design!

That experience turned Astrid into a brand aficionado and moved her to share what she had learned to help other talented wedding business owners succeed.
